If you are not sure what you would like to study, the Pathways to ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ and Workplace Success program will help you identify your strengths and interests. You will explore opportunities in different sectors by taking career-focused courses, going on industry visits, and participating in a workplace integrated learning placement.
The one-year certificate program was developed to address students' needs and labour force demands in three core areas: Applied Sciences, Industrial Technology and Trades, and Health Studies. You will choose three courses from a field that is of interest to you and find out more about training and education in that sector. The course options give you flexibility in your learning, so as well as meeting your needs and interests, the program leads to a work integrated learning placement where you will apply what you have learned in the real world. Up to five credits earned in the Pathway to ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ and Workplace Success program may be transferrable to programs in the core area of your choice.
Once you have earned your Pathways to ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ and Workplace Certificate, you will have a stronger sense of direction and will have gained insight into your own strengths and interests, which will help you identify the Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ program that's right for you. Providing you meet all the admission requirements for your program of choice, you may be granted preferred acceptance.
Upon successful completion of the Pathways to ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ and Workplace Success program at Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ, graduates will:
Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check:
Before attending any work integrated learning portion of the program, a student must submit a criminal record check and a vulnerable sector check. If the check indicates that a record exists, the student may not be able to complete portions of their program that are required for graduation. Any associated costs are the responsibility of the student.
