Congratulations on your acceptance to the ESET program!
The Energy Systems Engineering Technology program will train people to understand how energy is generated, distributed, and consumed and how we need to make smart choices to ensure a sustainable flow of energy while maintaining our lifestyle.
During the two years of this program, students will learn about the different methods of both traditional and emerging energy production, storage, distribution, and utilization. Students will also learn about traditional and more modern efficient building practices. Software such as Hot2000 and RETScreen will be used to model energy loads and evaluate choices for energy efficiency and conservation.
Hands-on familiarity with renewable energy technologies, including solar photovoltaic, wind, geothermal, biomass, biofuel and others will be explored in the classroom, laboratory and in the field.
