The Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Welshmen Community Band will present its ninth annual Christmas concert on Tuesday, November 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the Florence Simmons Performance Hall on Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ’s Prince of Wales Campus at 140 Weymouth Street, Charlottetown.
The concert has become a perennial favourite, and for many people marks the beginning of the busy month leading up to Christmas. Students from the Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ School of Performing Arts, a partnership with Confederation Centre of the Arts, will also be featured. There is no charge for admission, donations are gratefully accepted.
The Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Welshmen Community Concert Band is comprised of members from all walks of life – from university and college students to music graduates, community members, and many long-time musicians. The band practices from 7 – 8:20 p.m. every Tuesday evening at the Florence Simmons Performance Hall on Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ’s Prince of Wales Campus at 140 Weymouth Street, Charlottetown. Prospective members are welcome to attend a rehearsal and meet the band. Following the concert band rehearsal, the Welshmen jazz band rehearses from 8:30 to 9 p.m.
