President has term extended

Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ president Dr. Brian McMillan has had his contract extended for another five year term, Kathy O’Rourke, chair of the Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Board of Governors, announced today.

“The Board of Governors are very impressed with Dr. McMillan’s performance as president over the past nine years, and are thrilled to have extended his contract for another term.  Under his leadership, there have been numerous, significant accomplishments for our college and the province. We look forward to continuing to work with Brian and his management team at Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ in the coming years, and seeing the college as one of Canada’s premier post-secondary institutions,” she said.

Dr. McMillan has been at the helm of the college during nearly a decade of transformation, including the development and renewal of the Prince of Wales Campus in Charlottetown, the establishment of the West Prince Campus in Alberton, and the opening of the Summerside Waterfront Campus. He has also been named to Atlantic Business Magazine’s Top 50 CEO list for five consecutive years, catapulting him into the Hall of Fame, and was recently elected as vice chair of the Board for ¼â½ÐÊÓƵs and Institutes Canada.
