Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ’s Photography and Digital Imaging program has joined forces with the Atlantic chapter of the Professional Photographers of Canada to put on a one of a kind educational event for students, instructors, professional photographers, and serious amateurs this November.
Inspired Vision PEI 2015 is the only event of its kind in Atlantic Canada, organizer and Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ instructor Alex Murchison said.
“It’s difficult to find suitable workshops that are close by and fit our program schedule even though we often bring in individual guests. By forming this partnership with the PPOCA, we were able to expand our invitation list to include their membership as well as alumni of our full-time program, nearby colleges and photo clubs, former night class students and anyone else who is interested.”
Inspired Vision PEI starts on Friday, November 13, and runs through the weekend, finishing late Sunday afternoon. Dave Brosha, who has been described by Nikon as “one of the most celebrated photographers in the world,” will be the keynote presenter. Dave has taught photography around Canada and across the world. He will lead participants in a classroom-style session on wedding and environmental portraiture; and will do hands-on demonstrations explaining step-by-step his end-to-end process when shooting creative portraits.
Other presenters include noted food and lifestyle photographer Yvonne Duivenvoorden; independent film producer, director of photography and visual fx artist Brian Sharp; illustrator and photographer Stephen Desroches; and Felix Russo, the creator, publisher, and editor of PhotoEd Magazine and the PhotoEd GUIDE to Photography. There will also an opportunity to field-test some of the top digital cameras and lighting available.
The PPOCA’s annual (IMAGE) competition will also be featured during the weekend.
