Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ will add five instructional days to this semester to compensate for the days lost due to storm closures, Dave Beaton, Director of Programs, announced today.
The college has more than 70 programs with varying end times. Five additional days will be made available to students to ensure that they have enough time to complete all course requirements.
The addition of these instructional days to the academic calendar will have no effect on established graduation dates.
“The winter storms have resulted in closures and delays far more frequently than usual, especially this month. The five additional days will give our students and instructors time to catch up,” Beaton said. “Students in many of our programs earn credit for apprenticeship hours or professional certifications, so it is important to protect the academic integrity of the programs to ensure that the students have time to earn their credentials.”
