The Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists (CCTT) recently appointed Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ alumnus Bryan Burt, CET, as the Chair of the Canadian Technology Accreditation Board (CTAB) for a two-year term.
“We are pleased to have someone with Mr. Burt’s knowledge and experience take over as Chair of CTAB” said Isidore J. LeBlond, President and CEO of CCTT.
Burt is an experienced CTAB evaluator, and in April 2014 was part of the CTAB Accreditation team that visited the ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ of the North Atlantic in Doha, Qatar.
“I am honoured to have been chosen as Chair of the Canadian Technology Accreditation Board; and look forward to working with the educational agencies and stakeholder groups to advance awareness and the benefits of having programs nationally accredited,” said Burt, who graduated from Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ’s Computer Engineering Technology and Information Systems Technology programs in the early 1990s, and works with the Network Operations Group (IT Shared Services) with the Province of Prince Edward Island.
Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ currently offers programs in Computer Informations Systems and Computer Networking Technology. These programs, and most of the ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ’s Applied Sciences and Engineering programs, are accredited by CTAB. CTAB accredited programs provide International Mobility rights under the International Engineering Alliance (IEA) through the Dublin and Sydney Accords.
