The Harrison McCain Foundation has committed $50,000 over the next five years to the Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Foundation to establish 10 new entrance awards for deserving students, Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Foundation Chair Larry Wright announced today. The Harrison McCain Bursaries will be awarded for the first time to students entering their first year of a Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ program in the 2008-09 academic year.
In addition to providing critical financial support to deserving students, awards such as the Harrison McCain Bursaries often enhance the self-confidence of their recipients as they enter this new phase of their lives,” Wright said.
A spokesperson for the Harrison McCain Foundation said the college’s record in providing post-secondary education opportunities was a determining factor in the establishment of the awards.

The Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ Foundation supports the efforts of Holland ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ in its aim to provide meaningful educational experiences that benefit our learners and, as a result, enrich our communities. The foundation directs the ¼â½ÐÊÓƵ’s fundraising initiatives and administers the investment and distribution of funds.
