Description
This course is designed for the purpose of recertifying current pistol instructors. The course will consist of 1 day classroom and 2 days of range training. Students will review the previous information taught on the Pistol Instructors course consisting of; nomenclature, safety precautions, loading, unloading, magazine changes (emergency, quick and tactical), stoppages, coaching, roles of the instructors, scoring, target analysis, range briefing and calling the line. New topics covered will consist of lesson plan development, designing a course of fire, roll over prone, teaching methods, reflexive shooting, introduction to shooting from the sitting position, concealed/plain clothes drawing techniques, different trigger types (DAO,DA/SA, DAK and striker fire). Range training will consist of approximately 1000 rounds per participant, and is included in the cost of tuition.
